« GISLAVED » takes part in the European Local Democracy Week - a paneuropean event coordinated by the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe - as « Partner city »

Takes part in the ELDW with the aim of:

Better involve citizens in public life and interacte with local authorities

Test the citizens’ acquaintance with the participatory tools and trust in local/regional institutions

Improve social cohesion and respect of the others in the community

Involve and educate youth in the democratic process.

Gislaved is a municipality located in the southwest of Småland and belongs to Jönköping County. It has 29 000 inhabitants. We are known for our stunning natural beauty, good living environment and an amazing array of cultural and recreational active varieties. You can experience everything from the roaring engines at Anderstorps Raceway, to paddle down the Nissan valleys or ride down the slopes at 150 meters high Isaberg mountain, southern Sweden's highest ski area.

Gislaved's proximity to everything make’s it comfortable to stay here. This avoids unnecessary traffic jams or petrol-guzzling commute to work. We have eight cities to choose from, each with its own special character. [......]
