The plane tree is of high importance in Turkish culture. There used to be a plane tree in every city square where citizens can sit under the plane tree and talk about current issues. We gathered under the plane tree to make this tradition alive in the city center. We talked about the city, the country's economy and we gathered the thoughts of the citizens. During these activities, we placed emphasis on creating an open environment to discuss ideas and projects about city life. We brought townspeople with different views together at open spaces such as parks and also famous economists participated in the event.
