On 16 June 2019, Balkan-Rumeli-Thrace Meeting was held with the cooperation of Lüleburgaz Municipality and Balkan Peninsula Immigrants Association. Lüleburgaz is a city that has received a lot of migration in history and continues to receive migration. In 1989, with the largest forced migration in Europe since World War II, approximately 350,000 people were forced to emigrate. Some of the people who came to Turkey after migration settled in Luleburgaz. Each year, Bulgaria, Greece and Turkey organize the Rumeli Balkan Thracian Meeting in order to ensure the cohesion between the peoples Artists, folk dances and show teams from Turkey and Bulgaria participated in the event. The event was held with the theme of the 30th anniversary of forced migration.
