The first stone of the city was built during the reign of Empress Anna Ivanovna, April 30, 1743, between the Yaik and Sakmara. Since its inception, the capital of the many faces of the Orenburg region, conceived as a fortress, is a striking symbol of the unity of peoples, religions and cultures with its own unique flavor.

Orenburg - a unique city, which closely links East and West, Europe and Asia. The city was historically defined as a trade and cultural center. The capital city, Orenburg, combining many different cultures, became a true symbol of good neighborliness, mutual respect and openness to many cultures.
