Essay Contest: ''How Local Actions Could Address the Global Challenges of Climate Change?''

The Union of Communities of Armenia organizes " How local actions could address the global challenges of climate change?" essay contest. The contest is organized in the framework of the EU Sustainable Energy Week. The contest is for young employees of local administrations and municipal organizations representing the Covenant signatories of Armenia, as well as pupils and students of educational institutions of the participant communities. The event aims at raising public awareness on energy efficiency, use of renewable energy resources and energy-efficient technologies, green development and climate change mitigation and adaptation, as well as promoting active citizenship, motivating citizens, especially teenagers and youth, to get involved in community life and contribute to community development.
