Capacity Building Webinar and Meeting with the Member of the Council of Elders of Yerevan

On May 30-31, 2020, “Free Citizen” CISC, in cooperation with the Union of Communities of Armenia, organized a webinar for the Youth from all marzes (regions) of Armenia in the framework of the project “Young Activist” Young Civic Activists Capacity Building in Social Campaigning.
27 young civic activists from the marzes (regions) of Armenia have participated in the webinar. During the webinar, such local issues as Community unification problems, Involvement of the youth in community life, and local self-government system and raising their awareness were discussed.
At the end of the webinar, the member of the Council of Elders of Yerevan city Grigor Yeritsyan met with the participants and told them about the activities of Yerevan municipality. He also addressed the questions of the participants.
The webinar was one more activity aimed to encourage young people to actively participate in local life, motivate their participation in decision-making processes, and promote active citizenship.
