Webinar for the local youth in Aragatsotn marz (region) of Armenia and the meeting with the deputy mayor of Ashtarak municipality

On May 16 a webinar was held for the youth of Aragatsotn marz (region) of Armenia in the framework of the project “V4 for Youth Engagement in the Local Self-Governance implemented by the “Free Citizen” Civic Initiatives Support Center in cooperation with the Union of Communities of Armenia.
The webinar was attended by dozens of young people from Aragatsotn marz. An online meeting with the deputy mayor of Ashtarak Gevorg Yeghiazaryan was held during the webinar as well. He represented the activities of the municipality and answered the questions of young people related to local self-government.
The webinar gave the opportunity to young people from Aragatsotn marz not only to discuss the problems of youth engagement in local life and try to find ways for addressing the issue but also to have a direct discussion with LSG representative and raise issues of their concern. Such activities promote citizen participation and help strengthen citizens’ trust in LSG bodies.
