"Thank you, Amadora!"

City of Amadora
From 01/10/2018 to 31/10/2018
Communication campaign, with the aim of reinforcing the involvement and importance of people in building a unique identity for the city. It seeks to "unveil" the true culture of the city of Amadora, breaking down prejudices and entrenched stereotypes, demystifying concepts associated with the city. Essentially focused on the territory, but with regional projection, the campaign contemplates an innovative communication plan; for the first time it was defined as strategy to use the concept of influencers. Developed through outdoors, billboards, social networks and public relations, it involved 5 people who stood out due to their personal and professional achievements, contributing with their example to increase the affective relationship with the city. These people who stood out through their journey and testimony transmitted their feelings of appreciation regarding the territory, seeking to sensitize the community to the construction of a city identity capable of reinventing itself, educating future generations. Called "ambassadors" through the slogan "Thank you, Amadora!" they thank the municipality for the inspiration and contribution made in the course done in areas such as culture, sport, education, economics and scientific research, reinforcing the vision of the advantages of the geographical centrality and the plurality of the territory. Underpinning the challenges of globalization and European integration, this campaign stresses the need for the city to be proactive and to find positive solutions, betting on active citizenship and participatory policies and inclusive practices so that everyone can enjoy a society that wants to be connected to people and the future. The autarchy saw as a window of opportunity the implementation of a communication strategy that would allow a strategic repositioning of the city and give people a sense of belonging.
