« Electoral Systems Center - NGO » takes part in the European Local Democracy Week - a paneuropean event coordinated by the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe - as « Partner association »

Electoral Systems” Center NGO was established in 1994. In November 2002, it was re-organised and registered as “Electoral Systems” Center NGO.

The organisation was founded by young specialists in active public positions (sociologists, political scientists, journalists, etc.). Its activities over the past few years have included civil advocacy projects, the observation of elections, research, publications and analytical work and other projects.

 The Center consists of the following structural divisions:

 • Department of Political Analysis

 • Image-making Center

 • Vox Popili – Public Opinion Research Center

The organisation’s missions:

 • To promote the strengthening of democratic values within the state, improve the electoral system, increase the level of political and legal culture of society and promote the formation of civil society.

 • To initiate and carry out research, analysis of socio-political processes, socio-biological surveys and public polls.

 • To organise round-tables, discussions, seminars, conferences on socio-political, economic and other issues.

 • To organise training courses, whose aim is to increase political and legal culture of society, and foster a clear understanding of democratic values.

 • To promote the protection of human rights, and the dissemination of information on human rights.

 • To promote civil activity, increase citizens’ participation and raise their legal awareness.
