During the ELDW students of the Republic Primary School and disabled children from Hamiyet Ferudun Sözen Special Education Application Center, participated in the event “A Colourful Democracy”, held at ?ükrü Tunar Cultural Center. Students of the 4th class of the primary school and Down’s syndrome, mentally and physically disable children have been invited to paint together wooden bird houses using their imagination and creativity. The bird houses, will be put up in the trees of the Edremit Park in the city centre. The teachers who coordinated the event reported that all students had great fun painting and spending time together.
During the European Local Democracy Week organized by Edremit Municipality students of the Republic Primary School and disable children from Hamiyet Ferudun Sözen Special Education Application Center, participated to the event “A Colourful Democracy”, held at ?ükrü Tunar Cultural Center. Students of the 4th class of the primary school and Down’s syndrome, mentally and physically disable children have been invited to paint together wooden birds houses using their imagination and creativity. Bird houses, painted by children, will be hanged up to the trees of the Edremit Park in the city centre. The teachers who coordinated the event reported that all students had great fun painting and sharing time together. Mayor of Edremit Mr.Kamil Saka and Deputy Mayor of Chania Mrs. Eleftheria Alifieraki, who took part to the activity, also congratulated with children on their enthusiastic participation to the event.
