« Edremit » takes part in the European Local Democracy Week - a paneuropean event coordinated by the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe - as « Partner city »

Edremit Municipality aims to celebrate the European Local Democracy Week not only to spread the Congress principles of participatory citizenship, consultation and commitment but also to encourage other municipalities to join this significant week. This year we invited Vice mayors of two Italian municipalities with who we cooperate in order to realise our shared project, the "Cultural Route of Aeneas" a cultural itinerary candidate of the Council of Europe. Despite the young administrations of the cities of Gaeta and Castro and their commitment to involve the population in the European policies, they still don't celebrate the ELDW.
This year, among the other activities, we were committed to realise a real good practice exchange in order to share with our project partners the European policies and European youth projects.
