« Ahmetbey » takes part in the European Local Democracy Week - a paneuropean event coordinated by the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe - as « 12-Star City »
Dating back to the historical Thracians, Ahmetbey is one of the important settlement centers of the Marmara Region. It serves a total population of 15.000, including municipal activities, factories and businesses, industrial site, Family Health Center and Pharmacy, post office and ATM services, artisan variety and district bazaar and surrounding villages and towns.
The economy of Ahmetbey is based on trade, agriculture and animal husbandry.
