Every year, at the October City Council meeting, we inform Council members about the theme of ELDW.
Printed and audiovisual media will be used to raise the local population's awareness of the European Local Democracy Week (posters, banners, leaflets, billboards, presentation on the website of the municipality). The Mayor will also hold a meeting at the City Hall for university students and elementary and middle school students on local democracy and local participation. The purpose of the meeting is to encourage young people to participate in local governance and to share their ideas.
On 8 October 2018, a meeting will be held in the Municipal Assembly Hall with young people to provide information on the European Democracy Week and their views have been received.
The Mayor held a meeting in the town hall for Mukhtars (Neighborhood Elected Manager) and gave information about The European Democracy Week and their views were received. In the end of the meeting, a plaque was given to successful mukhtars who established a bridge between the citizen and the municipality.
