In 2018, on the 1st of December, Romania celebrated 100 years since all its historical provinces were reunited in a modern state. Also, on the 29th of July, 2018, Romania celebrated 170 years since our National Anthem was sung for the first time at an official meeting, in Ramnicu Valcea. The Municipality of Ramnicu Valcea reunited from the 27th to 30th of July, children and teenagers from Ramnicu Valcea, Cahul - Republic of Moldova and Chernivtsi (Cernauti) -Ukraine who discovered together the history of our town and the representatives of the Ramnicu Valcea's local administration. On the 28th of July, the children and teenagers performed a concert of Romanian traditional music in the center of Ramnicu Valcea. On the 30th of July, the children from Cahul and Chernivtsi were the guests of Mr. Eusebiu VETELEANU, Vice Mayor of Ramnicu Valcea, at the City Hall of Ramnicu Valcea. The Vice mayor explained them his duties and the role of the local administration in the lives of the citizens of Ramnicu Valcea. He also spoke about the most important achievements for the citizens of Ramnicu Valcea since 2007, the year Romania became a member of the EU.
