The youth essay contest "Youth participation in development of local democracy: practical initiatives and visions" is conducted by Kharkiv City Council in cooperation with Karazin Kharkiv National University and Beketov Kharkiv National University of Urban Economy.
The goal is to develop active citizenship among children and young people, increase their interest in local democracy development, enhance their preparedness to build in a democratic society, cultivate European values.
The youth essay contest "Youth participation in development of local democracy: practical initiatives and visions" was conducted by Kharkiv City Council in cooperation with Karazin Kharkiv National University and Beketov Kharkiv National University of Urban Economy.

The winners were:
I place and the winner of internship at the Youth Council to see her project implemented – Anna Horbachova (19 years old, H.S. Skovoroda Kharkiv National Pedagogical University).
II honorary place – Kyrylo Khramov (18 years old, Petro Vasylenko Kharkov National Technical University).
III honorary place – Oleksandra Aleksandrova (16 years old, Kharkiv College of Textile and Design).
