The Fourth Youth Internet Governance Forum in Turkey

The Fourth Youth Internet Governance Forum in Turkey (Youth IGF Turkey) has been held on 8th of November with the significant participation of Association of Media Literacy, Sar?yer City Council and Management of ISOC-TR. One-day forum took place with the invitation of open agenda and participation, and it was achieved with the participations of young university students thanks to the support of executive committee members of Sar?yer city council. IGF (Internet Governance Forum) serves the purpose of bringing actors together from various partner groups for discussions related to public policies regarding the Internet. IGF informs people or organizations that have a power to generate policies both in public and in private sector, and inspires and guides them regarding current issues. IGF is organized every year and related partners discuss topics about the Internet governance, exchange information and share the best application patterns with each other. The purpose of IGF is to find a middle ground in order to optimize the opportunities provided by the Internet and to eliminate the emerging risks and difficulties. For the first time new technologies were included to the program, and the following presentations were done: “Entrepreneurship Based on the Data and Artificial Intelligence” by Dr. ?ebnem Özdemir, “Personal Data Protection Law” by Dr. Elif Küzeci, “Computer Networks and Security” by Gökhan Ak?n, “Access to Information and Organization Power of the Internet” by Emre Ta?g?n, “Entrance to ICANN” by Ozan ?ahin, “Domain Name Management” by Ça?lar Ye?ilyurt, “Media Literacy” by Cansu Co?an Aydemir and “Internet Governance and Participation of Youths to the Processes” by Su Sonia Herring. The Certificates were submitted to the participants at the end of the Forum.
