Opening of the “Brief Manual of Local Citizenship” Exhibition (Abertura exposição “Manual Breve de Cidadania Local”)

The activity had its genesis on the “Brief Manual of Local Citizenship”, a book that was edited by the Municipality with the help of the University of Minho, in order to empower the citizens of Valongo about their rights and duties and about the roles of every actor in a community, aiming for a more participative, more enlightened community. Moreover, it was thought to transform these themes into an exhibition form, for citizens to, even more intuitively, grasp the concepts tackled and discussed in the book. Therefore, the exhibition was taken to the Professional School of Valongo for the celebrations of the ELDW (from the 15th to the 30th), where it was displayed with great distinction, resulting in the students learning about the topics covered by the itinerary exhibition.
