Portuguese Sign Language Brief Training Course (Curso Língua Gestual Portuguesa)

The training course of Portuguese Sign Language and its implementation had its roots on the awareness of the Municipality of Valongo regarding the importance of inclusivity of all citizens, in order to have a full participatory community. Additionally, it was also stated that a training course such as this one was something that the employees of the Municipality wanted, in order to provide a more thorough service to people with disabilities, and understand in more depth their struggles to ultimately be more helpful on upcoming interactions. This way, this course had in its design two different courses, basic and intermediary (for people who already had knowledge in the subject), with the duration of five days, aimed at the Municipality’s employees.
