II International Conference on Interaction between Local Authorities, Foreign Missions and National Minorities / la 2-ème Conférence internationale sur l’interaction entre Autorités locales, Missions Étrangères et Minorités nationales

On December, 12 Kharkiv is planned to hold the II International Conference on Interaction between Local Authorities, Foreign Missions and National Minorities. The multi-ethnicity of the Ukrainian population, including Kharkiv, which is home to more than 100 different nationalities, is becoming an increasingly important factor, which has a significant impact on social, political and cultural processes both on the state and local levels. It paves the way to finding new directions and ways of interaction and collaboration. The Conference is aimed at searching effective mechanisms of interaction between representatives of public sector, national minorities and diplomatic institutions, exchanging experience between Ukrainian and foreign experts. Participants: • Representatives of diplomatic missions of foreign countries, consular institutions and representatives of international organizations in Ukraine • Representatives of Ministry of Foreign Affairs • Representatives of Ukrainian local authorities • Representatives of national minority organizations • Representatives of Ukrainian higher education institutions • Representatives of Kharkiv Youth Council The event will help to build trust between the community and Kharkiv City Council, to increase the engagement of citizens in the decision-making process and make Kharkovites see that their needs and concerns are being taken into consideration by local authorities.
