SCREENING AND DEBATE ON THE "FREE" FILM BY MICHEL TOESCOA IN PARTNERSHIP WITH MIGREVAL

Cinéma l’Odyssée - 3 rue des Francs Bourgeois 67000 Strasbourg
From 18/10/2019 to 18/10/2019
Friday, October 18 - 4pm to 6pm La Roya, a valley in the south of France bordering Italy. Cédric Herrou, a farmer, cultivates his olive trees there. The day he crossed paths with the refugees, he decided, with other inhabitants of the valley, to welcome them, offer them refuge and help them submit their asylum application. But by doing so, it is considered outlawed.... Michel Toesca, a long-time friend of Cedric and also a resident of Roya, followed him for three years. As a concerned and sensitive witness, with his camera in hand, he participated and filmed this citizen resistance on a daily basis. This film is the story of Cedric's fight and so many others. The film presentation will be followed by a debate in the presence of Catherine Delcroix, research director of the Migreval project, Angelita Martins, David Cupina and Marianne Vollet-Gless, the project leaders of the "Tiers-Lieu Maison Citoyenne Interculturelle" (MCI) project. Public event open to all, subject to availability.
