We celebrated peace and cohesion in Europe.
May 9 is the anniversary of the historic Schuman declaration. In a speech in Paris in 1950, the then Foreign Minister of France, Robert Schuman proposed a new form of political cooperation in Europe that would make a new war unthinkable. Schuman's proposal is today considered the start of the EU.
The politicians Jelena Drenjanin (M) and Aza Cheragwandi (S) talked about what EU membership means for our future and how global challenges affect us locally in Huddinge municipality. The conversation was not about party politics it instead focused on providing knowledge for the upcoming EU election.
