From 18/10/2019 to 18/10/2019
Welcome to a talk and workshop on media and information literacy. The digitization of society affects the conditions for everyone, regardless of age. It changes the conditions for how we live our lives, how we communicate and can be active citizens. Just as digitalization offers great opportunities, so too do new problems and challenges to face. The digitalisation of society is changing the conditions for the democratic conversation. Carl Heath, Special Investigator to Protect the Democratic Conversation, talks about what is being done in Sweden to strengthen media and information literacy among citizens. During the workshop you will have the opportunity to learn more about the tool Näthatshjälpen. The tool provides support and help in how to work preventively against hate on internet.
