These walks aim to highlight the district's military past and its link with colonisation.
Indeed, few residents know the history of the men whose names their streets bear. However, they are often characters whose glorification masks the violence they committed during the colonial period.
Knowing one's past is important in order to understand the present and build an inclusive future.
