The purpose of the action: to involve residents in solving the problem of hazardous waste disposal, to introduce them to the services for their separate collection and to show how it works.
Residents were able to hand over hazardous waste (batteries, mercury lamps, used accumulators, thermometers) for disposal to a specially designated Ecomobile on duty in the district. Citizens were given information materials prepared by the district administration. Thanks to leaflets and booklets, residents learned that the alkali contained in only one battery, as well as heavy metals, zinc, lead, manganese, cadmium, nickel, mercury, can pollute 20 square meters of land and 400 liters of groundwater. The organizers of the action talked about the rules for the collection and transportation of hazardous waste using modern eco boxes and eco cars.
