The municipal institution “Centre of Urban Greening and Ecology” organized a meeting of the Public Council for Environmental Protection, a voluntary body to the head of the Krasnodar municipality.

The agenda included a quality assessment of existing urban green spaces and parks along with the development of general recommendations for greening the city. The participants considered various aspects of the green zones improvement, such as:
- environmental benefits of parks and squares;
- inventory of green spaces;
- drawing up dendrological plans of streets;
- urban density analysis;
- ecological education; etc.
After the meeting, a list of recommendations was proposed to improve landscape architecture and environmental setting of the city.
Keeping abreast of the green agenda is important, given that the environmental protection is one of the promising areas of cooperation between the city of Krasnodar and its European partners.
