?unicipality of Surdulica

The municipality of Surdulica is located in the southeastern part of Serbia, within the P?inja region. It borders the municipality of Crna Trava in the north, the municipality of Vladi?in Han in the west, the municipalities of Vranje and Bosilegrad in the south, and the Republic of Bulgaria in the east in length of 42 km. In the immediate vicinity is border crossing Strezimirovci. The distance of Surdulica municipality from Niš (Serbia) is 100 km, from Belgrade (Serbia) is 327 km, from Skoplje (Macedonia)130 km and from Sofia (Bulgaria) is 143 km. Surdulica is located in field of Masurica, in the basins of rivers Vrla and Gornja Jerna and Boži?ka river, and it also covers a part of the Vlasina plateau. It is surrounded by high mountains Vardenik (1875 m) and ?emernik (1638 m). The road between these mountains reaches Vlasina lake on altitude of 1230 meters. This lake is the highest and longest arteficial lake in Serbia with characteristics floating islands covered with gran areas and forests. Vlasina is the landscape of outstanding features. Flora and fauna of the lake and entire surrounding Vlasina region are rich and include several endemic species. Government of Serbia in 2006. protected Vlasina region as a nature preserve of special interest at category I in term of international, national and exceptional importance. The municipality of Surdulica covers 628 km2 at an altitude of 355 to 1876 meters with 41 settements, 39 cadastral municipalities, 25 local communities and 11 local offices. In 2019. there were 18524 inhabitants in the municipality of Surdulica. Ethnic composition includes Serbs, Romani, Bulgarians, Macedonians and others. There are two primary school in the town of Surdulica- "Vuk Karadži?" and "Jovan Jovanovi? Zmaj", several primary schools in the villages around the town and three secondary schools: High school "Svetozar Markovi?", "Josif Pan?i?" Agriculture school and technical school "Nikola Tesla".

Admistration Velikiy Ustuyg municipal district

The administrative center of the district is the city of Veliky Ustyug. The city of Veliky Ustyug was founded in 1147. The head of the Velikiy Ustuyg municipal district is Mr. Kuzmin Alexander Vladimirovich.

Ahmetbey Municipality

The history of Ahmetbey dates back to the Thracians, the years between 600-700 BC. Ahmetbey, which was the host of the Thracian, Hellenistic, Roman and Byzantine civilizations, was in a state of condition related to the granary of the Lüleburgaz Episcopal Center in the third century AC. From the early 1800s until 1930, the Greek, Bulgarian and Turkish people lived together in the town of Ahmetbey. Ahmetbey has an important position in the center of the Marmara Region, is neighbouring Istanbul and is 120 kilometres away from Bulgaria and Greece, where the borders of the European Union begin. Ahmetbey Municipality adopts common universal values such as democracy, pluralism, the rule of law, human rights and freedoms, equality between women and men, justice and respect for differences. Bath & North East Somerset Council

Bath and North East Somerset is thriving and diverse, with many needs, strengths, resources and assets. As well as being our main commercial and recreational centre, the World Heritage City of Bath is an international tourist and heritage destination that provides a spectacular setting for world-class arts, culture, and leisure facilities. we have declared a Climate and Ecological emergency. Our market towns of Keynsham, Midsomer Norton and Radstock combine with rural communities ranging from the foothills of the Mendips, to the Chew Valley in the west and Cotswold villages around Bath. Two thirds of the area lies in Green Belt - we have 2 areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, 37 Conservation Areas and 6,408 Listed Buildings. Home to over 192,000 people, we expect our population to rise to 199,000 by 2037 - the most significant increases will be amongst older people, with a 124% increase in those aged 85 and over. Between 2001 and 2017, the growth in the 20-24 age range accounted for nearly 50% of the area's population growth, highlighting the area’s student population.

BAYRAKLI MUNICIPALITY

Bayrakli is one of the 11 central districts of Izmir. Bayrakl? district is located between Izmir and Çanakkale. Ancient Smyrna is shown as the place where Izmir was founded in terms of the city. Bayrakl? history dates back to 5,000 years. According to the Law No. 5747 in Turkey, Bayrakli became a district of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality on 6 March 2008. In general, Bayrakl? is a residential-centred settlement. In addition to this, Bayrakl? has become a new attraction centre in Izmir. The density of the industry has been decreasing gradually in the district's economy. Besiktas Municipality

Besiktas is located in the European side of the city of Istanbul, and geographically composed of coastal and interior settlements. Despite its small surface area and population, it is ideally located at the junction of arterial roads of Istanbul, and has a convenient location to world-class amenities. It has the access roads to the Bridges of Bosphorus and Fatih Sultan Mehmet interconnecting the European and Anatolian sides of Istanbul and even two continents. While the current population is approximately 190.000, it reaches approximately 2 million people in a day.

Büyükçekmece

"More Modern Büyükçekmece, Happier People from Büyükçekmece." Büyükçekmece is well-known on account of its agricultural and tourist potential. It developed rapidly in the 1980s and its population grew day by day. From 1994 onwards great efforts were made in terms of urban planning (sewage network, decontamination facilities, parks, monitoring of the environment, overhead energy and telecommunication networks placed underground, lighting systems etc.). Büyükçekmece has thus become a modern district. Büyükçekmece Municipality has organised dazzling cultural activities and projects in co-operation with the European Union and other institutions.

Chemnitz

Chemnitz, the “European City of Culture 2025”, is a town with many faces. It is the third largest city in Saxony with approximately 245 000 inhabitants. Art and culture are integral parts of the city’s history. As an old industrial town, the city was named the „Saxon Manchester“ and in the 20th Century a key international player in mechanical and locomotive engineering. Chemnitz is often not perceived on a national and European level. However, this will change with the nomination as Capital of Culture. It is now all the more important that the people of Chemnitz also participate in shaping the future of their city. This can be done by participating in online citizens' offices, citizens' consultation hours with the mayor or surveys often simply from home.

City administration of Krasnodar

Municipality of Krasnodar (before 1920 - Yekaterinodar) is the administrative, industrial, business and cultural centre of the Krasnodar Territory. Founded by the Cossacks in 1793, the administrative centre of the Krasnodar Territory - the city of Krasnodar - is the largest industrial, transport, commercial, scientific and cultural centre of the South of Russia.

City Municipality of Stari grad

The City municipality of Stari grad represents the strict center and heart of Belgrade, the capital of the Republic of Serbia. Precisely because of its central position in the city, it represents the cultural-historical, architectural and economic center of Belgrade, and best reflects the millennial history of the creation, growth and development of Belgrade. The name of the Old Town reflects the historical place and the role of the old city center from where Belgrade further developed. The current municipality was created and took its current name in 1957 by merging the municipalities of Stari grad, Skadarlije and Terazije. The day of the municipality is the Feast of the Flower, which marks the entry of Christ into Jerusalem and is celebrated on the last week before Easter. The total area of ??the municipality is about 650 ha, of which about 435 ha is a land and about 215 ha is water area. According to the latest data from 2019, the total number of inhabitants in the municipality of Stari grad is 44613, with a population density of 8923 per km2. Although its area is far smaller than the other 16 urban and suburban municipalities of the city of Belgrade, the Old Town is the richest in cultural and historical content. Only on the territory of the municipality of Stari grad there are 8 spatial cultural and historical units.

City municipality of Vracar, Belgrade

Municipality of Vracar is one out of 17 municipalities of City of Belgrade. The Municipality of Vracar covers an area of 292 hectares, which is inhabited by a population of 69,680. It is the smallest municipality in Serbia, but the most densely populated. Vracar municipality, one of the three central municipalities of Belgrade,has significant touristic potential: Church of Saint Sava, Public library of Serbia, Nikola Tesla museum, Belgrade drama theater, etc.

City of Esch-sur-Alzette

City of Kragujevac

Kragujevac is located in the central part of the Republic of Serbia, 140 kilometers south from capitol Belgrade. Kragujevac, as the largest city in the region of Sumadija with its approximately 293.398 inhabitants, is the region's administrative, industrial, cultural, educational and health hub, which alone has 179.417 citizens by records made in census in year 2011. The region covers the area of 835 square kilometers and consists of 57 settlements and 78 local communities. There are around 1.500 large, middle and small companies doing business here, including many large international companies such as Fiat Chrisler Automobiles, Johnson Controls, SIGIT, Meggle, TPV, Scolz, Viator Vector, Rapp Marine, Hodlmayer, etc. Ten important cultural institutions of regional, and some of national significance, cherishing theatrical, fine arts, folklore, and industrial heritage, some of them continuing over one century old tradition, are situated in Kragujevac. Numerous cultural festivals and events are taking place annually and biennially, presenting stage performances for adults, high school students and children alike, followed by classic, choir and popular music festivals, as well as antiwar cartoons salon. The University of Kragujevac is composed of 11 faculties. This is the city of rich history and cultural heritage. In the following 2018 it is going to celebrate 200 anniversary since it was proclaimed the first capitol of the modern Serbian state. Consequently, it was the place where the first modern constitution was adopted and the most important judicial, cultural, educational, health care and industrial institutions were founded. It was already in the 19th century that exchange of knowledge, ideas, experiences and craftsmanship with foreigners in our city proved the importance of international cooperation in all mentioned spheres of society, thus, continuing down this path there is great interest to enhance this kind of activities.

City of Niš

Niš is considered to be the crossroads of East and West and thanks to its geostrategic position it has always been the meeting point of different nations, different ideas, cultures and traditions which provided the city with a great cultural legacy. Its heritage is the result of a long and turbulent city history and influences of different cultures. Niš, today, is economic, industrial, regional, administrative, educational, health, cultural and sports center of the region of Southeastern Serbia. The population of 300 000 inhabitants makes the City of Niš the third biggest city in the Republic of Serbia. The city territory of 600 km2 is divided into five municipalities. The residents and visitors alike are blessed with great cultural and entertainment opportunities. The cultural life of Niš is shaped by the numerous institutions and numerous festivals and cultural events can make anyone’s experience of Niš complete whether we are talking about jazz music, national film, choral performances. Niš has become recognizable as new destination on the map of extreme sports fan and sportsmen. The exquisite natural attractions of the surrounding mountains and gorges are ideal for extreme sports. As a dynamic medium sized city Niš offers its inhabitants and visitors much of what big city life has, but without the urban chaos and without diminishing the quality of life.

City of Sombor

City of Sombor is located in the West Backa region of the Republic of Serbia. Its administrative area spreads over 1.216 km² and it counts 85.903 inhabitants. According to "Transparency Serbia", City of Sombor is the second most transparent city in Serbia in 2021. Good practices related to participation of citizens in the decision-making process include participatory budgeting, public discussions, online options for reporting social issues, and a possibility of having a meeting with the Mayor on monthly basis.

Edremit

The municipality of Edremit, in Türkiye, is located on the Aegean Coast. With its 34 kms of coastline covered with beaches and crystalline waters overlooking the stunning Gulf of Edremit, this precious center is included in the metropolitan city district of Balikesir. This area is a popular tourist destination for its natural beauties (Mount Ida), archaeological sites (Antandros settlement, necropolis) and Mediterranean typical gastronomy enriched with the renowned Edremit’s olive oil, the main ingredient of the exquisite regional cuisine. The several luxury thermal spas close to Mount Ida make this resort an excellent destination for tourist.

Efeler Municipality

Ayd?n Province, located in the Aegean Region, is surrounded by Izmir and Manisa to the north, the Aegean Sea to the west, Denizli to the east, Mugla to the south. The city, which is under the influence of the Mediterranean climate, is rich in agriculture thanks to the Büyük Menderes River; cotton, olives, figs, chestnuts, tobacco, citrus fruits are among the main agricultural products. mechanization in agriculture has increased Ayd?n City has registered its place among the most important cities. Efeler Municipality, which is the only central district municipality of Ayd?n, which started to serve as of 01.04.2014, consists of 83 neighborhoods with the connection of 5 towns, 56 villages and central neighborhoods.

Fastiv city territorial community

Fastiv City Territorial Community is a territorial community in Ukraine, in the Fastiv district of Kyiv region. The administrative center is the city of Fastiv. It was formed on June 12, 2020 by merging Fastiv City Council of regional significance and village councils of Fastiv district. The community includes 1 town (Fastiv), 1 township (Borova) and 16 villages: Bortnyky, Velyka Motovylivka, Velyka Ofirna, Velyka Snitynka, Vepryk, Vyshnyaki, Gvardiyske, Klekhivka, Mala Ofirna, Mala Snitynka, Mlynok, Motovylivka, Motovylivska Slobid , Olenivka, Tarasenky and Fastivets. The population of the community is 63,449 people. The community is located southwest of the capital of Ukraine, Kyiv. The area of ??the community is 336.7 km2. The distance to Kyiv from the administrative center is 57 km by rail, 75 km by road, 75 km to the nearest airport "Kyiv", to the airport "Boryspil" - 100 km. The main sectors of the economy of Fastiv city territorial community are: industry, railway, construction, agriculture and trade.

Kadikoy Municipality

Kad?köy is a large, populous, and cosmopolitan district of Istanbul, Turkey on the northern shore of the Sea of Marmara, facing the historic city centre on the European side of the Bosporus. Kad?köy is also the name of the most prominent neighbourhood of the district, a residential and commercial area that, with its numerous bars, cinemas and bookshops, is the cultural centre of the Anatolian side of Istanbul.

Kadiköy Municipality

Kadiköy is very attractive for local and foreign population with its central location, long coastline and cosmopolitan structure. In addition to social, cultural and sports activities, Kadiköy offers a wide variety of urban activities such as entertainment, recreation and shopping. It is one of the basic principles of Kadiköy Municipality that these activities should be inclusive without excluding any different groups such as age, gender, nationality, disability, class, social status, etc. Special efforts are made for the more active participation of women, children and the elderly from all social strata in social life. The participation of these groups is encouraged in workshops, concerts, sports activities, festivals and excursions. It provides convenience for those who have difficulty in accessing services. Beyond producing inclusive policies, it is another principle of Kadıköy Municipality to develop participatory approaches in the decision-making processes of these policies. During the 5-year Strategic Plan preparation process, neighborhood-based discussions were carried out and planning was made by taking into account the ideas of every segment living, working or socializing in Kadıköy. In this process, the website called Tell Kadıköy was activated and the monitoring/evaluation process of the planned activities became possible. Apart from this, periodic meetings in Talking Kadıköy are held to bring together the municipality administration and the residents of the neighborhood.

Kharkiv City Council

From a Cossack settlement to a major industrial, cultural and scientific centre, the city of Kharkiv is the administrative center of the historical and geographical region of Ukraine, which is named "Slobozhanshchina". The area of modern Kharkiv exceeds 300 square kilometers, and the population is 1 million 450 thousand people. The territory of the city is a hilly plain with valleys, ravines.

KIRKLARELI MUNICIPALITY

Kirklareli enjoys a strategic position between the Balkans and Anatolia. The city is the shining star of Turkiye with its rich culture and history. Its motto is "the city of happy people". Kirklareli was founded in 1870 and named on 20 December 1924. If you follow the street that runs upwards from Hizirbey Mosque, which can be considered as the city center in Kirklareli, road will take you to Yayla Square and Ali Riza Efendi Culture House will be opened on 20 December 2017. For several years, the city was home to Greek, Bulgarian, Turkish, and Jewish populations. As a result, Greece, Bulgaria, and Montenegro decided to build a room with their names to represent their cultures in a culture house which calls  Ali Riza Efendi Culture House, that has a name in Greek in a room, a Bulgarian and a Montenegrin. The house has been visited by 275.000 people since its establishment in order to represent the common culture.  Kirklareli Atatürk House, also in the city, opened to the public on January 17, 2018. Kirklareli Atatürk House was founded in the municipality with the help of Krklareli's charitable people whose hearts beat for Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. Kirklareli Atatürk House and Kirklareli people will be delighted and proud to welcome their visitors in the future, just as they have done in the past. There have been activities organized by the Women's Solidarity and Education Center (KADAM). Concerning the theme "Every Color is Free in Krklareli," NGOs and women entrepreneurs assist students there. In the scope of Bulgaria - Turkiye IPA Cross Boarder Cooperation Program, a cultural center was built. A project of ours was selected as “Best Practices” at the meeting held on 13 October 2015 in Sofia / Bulgaria.

Kirklees

We’re committed to growing a stronger local democracy in Kirklees, from the ground up. We’ve worked with citizens from local places across Kirklees to create a shared goal for active citizenship, called “Shaped by People: We make our places what they are”. This is a shared strategic priority for Kirklees Council and our partners. Our aim is to enable more people to directly shape their local place, as active citizens, and for everyone to be involved in the decisions which affect their everyday lives. We have involved over 10,000 citizens in activities to shape their local neighbourhoods, through our How Good Is Our Place? programme, which focuses on meaningful conversations and actions in our local places. We have also worked with young citizens to create a pioneering Democracy Friendly Schools programme, to help children and young people learn about - and be an active part of - local democracy. Our work is based on the learning and recommendations of the Kirklees Democracy Commission. We explored what a vibrant local democracy should look like - for the next generation and beyond - by listening to and learning from our citizens. Our report 'Growing a Stronger Local Democracy' is based on a year of evidence-based research and debate, involving over 1,000 people.

Konak Municipality

Izmir is the third biggest province of Turkey, with a population of 4.367.251. Located at the geographical centre of Izmir, Konak is also the economic, cultural and historical centre of the city. The district has an area of 24 square kilometres. According to the latest official data, 351.572 people live in the 112 neighbourhoods of Konak. However, due to its status as the transportation, business and entertainment hub, it is estimated that Konak hosts 1.5 million people every day. Konak Municipality was established as the “Central District Municipality” with “Metropolitan Municipalities Law” numbered 3030, published in Resmi Gazete (Official Gazette) on 9 July 1984. The name of Izmir Central District Municipality was changed to “Konak Municipality” on 4 July 1987. On 22 July 1988, Konak Municipality completed its organisation and became operational. Konak Municipality serves its citizens with its 31 directorates and over 2000 personnel working in various fields such as public works, women, children, sports and culture. Currently, Konak Municipality has 15 community centres: 1 centre for senior citizens, 10 sports centres and 4 culture centres.

Lüleburgaz

The total population of Lüleburgaz is based on the exact population determination results of 2018 (147,325). This (115.000) is in the district center and (31.660) is in the towns and villages. This population (51%) is females (49%). The population growth rate is well above the country average and the increase is mainly due to intensive migration from other regions and from the villages.

Lviv City Council

Lviv is located in Western Ukraine, about 70 km from the EU border and 160 km from the eastern Carpathian Mountains. The population of Lviv is 750 000 people. The first mention of Lviv dates back to 1256. In Middle Age, the city became an important European trade center. Throughout all history, Lviv has been ruled by many European states: Poland, Austria-Hungary. Influenced by European development, the city presents the architecture of different culture and style. Lviv has the largest number of historical and architectural monuments in Ukraine. The center of the city is listed as World Heritage Site of UNESCO. Lviv received statuses of Culture capital of Ukraine, IT-center of Ukraine and title of Youth Capital. In 2020, it was created in Lviv City Territorial Community. The community includes 2 town (Dubliany and Vynnyky) and 17 villages: Briukhovychi urban-type settlement, Velyki Hrybovychi, Volya Hamuletska, Hryada, Zavadiv, Zashkiv, Zbyranka, Lysynytchi, Malehiv, Mali Hrybovychi, Mali Pidlisky, Pidpirtsi, Pidryasne, Riasna-Ruska, Rudne urban-type settlement, Sytyhiv. The population of the Lviv City Territorial Community is about 800 000 people. Lviv is focused on democratic values and on the formation of civil society. Through the tools of public participation, in particular through the organization of the Public Budget project, Lviv strongly encourages citizens to choose and implement priority projects for the city, to create the city together!

Mavrovo and Rostushe

Mavrovo and Rostushe is a municipality in western North Macedonia. The municipal seat is located in the village of Rostushe. This municipality is part of the Polog Statistical Region. The municipality borders Gostivar Municipality to the north, Kichevo Municipality to east, Debar Municipality to the south and Albania to the west. Area -Total 663.19 km2. Population - Total 8.618.

MINOA MUNICIPALITY

Minoa Pediadas is a rural municipality located in the inland of the Regional Unit of Heraklion, at a distance of about 35 Km southeast of the city of Heraklion, capital of the island of Crete (GR). With a total area of 394.24 sq. km. and population 17,829 inhabitants, is the second with the largest extent and the 4th most populous municipality of the Regional Unit of Heraklion. The Municipality consists of 32 Municipal Districts and 71 settlements. The area is dominated by alternating natural landscapes with valleys filled with olive groves mainly, as well as vineyards. In fact, 93% of its land is used for agricultural purposes and the cultivation of olive groves represents more than 70% of the local employment.

Municipality Gadžin Han

The municipality of Gadžin Han belongs to the Nišava District in Serbia. To the north the municipality borders Bela Palanka municipality and the City of Niš, to the south-east it borders Babušnica municipality, while to the south Gadžin Han borders Vlasotince and Leskovac municipalities, and to the west Boljevac municipality. Municipality covers the area of 325 km2 (18.201 ha) is agricultural land, and 10.610 ha forests. According to the census from 2011 there were 8.389 inhabitants, and the median age was 52,5 years. The area of Gadžin Han municipality pertains to the South-eastern Serbia, which is situated in the central part of the Balkan peninsula. The area of Gadžin Han lies between mountains Suva planina, Babi?ka gora and Seli?evica and mainly coincides with the territory of Gadžin Han municipality. With its territory Gadžin Han municipality extends out to Pomoravlje, the South Morava River and Niš-Skoplje highway, i.e. Corridor 10. Three regional road networks II A-225 and II A-224 go through the municipal territory. Through road II A-225 Gadžin Han is connected to the Highway – 22 km.

Municipality of Bijelo Polje

Located in the northeast of Montenegro along the main road and the Belgrade-Bar railway, framed on the south by the mountain Bjelasica (2,137 m) and on the north by Lisa (1,509 m), with an area of 924 km2 with 46,051 inhabitants, Bijelo Polje is a traffic, trade and cultural-educational hub of the Montenegrin north. Municipality of Bijelo Polje is adorned with good multinational and multi-religious relations, for which confirmation was obtained in 2003, when Bijelo Polje received the award for "Most Tolerant City in the Southeast Europe ". Bijelo Polje have established a principle that enables the participation of citizens in decision-making. Citizen participation in the process of making plans, programs, public policies and decisions at the local level is one of the basic principles of good governance of the local community. In addition to previous examples of good practice in which we have had the participation of civil society and citizens in processes that are important for the municipality, the institute of free chair was introduced in which NGO representatives can participate in municipal assembly sessions. Municipality has also recently launched an application for citizens to participate in the creation of the local capital budget

Municipality of Buca

Buca district, where Izmir's history is most intense, has a unique identity as it witnesses the civilization dating back to 130 BC. Buca, the most populous district of Izmir, has a population of 517.963 compared to 2021. The society, which consists of Greek, English, French, Dutch, Italian and other Levantine families who came and settled in Izmir in the past, contributed significantly to the development and enrichment of Buca. Thus, Buca, which has hosted countless cultures and civilizations, has a universal mosaic structure. For this reason, it is very important to protect the existing identity and values of Buca, and to ensure the integration of individuals from different cultures into the city life and culture of the city. Municipality of Svrljig

The area of the municipality of Svrljig covers the central part of the Carpathian-Balkan mountain range in eastern Serbia. The area that administratively belongs to it approximately coincides with the upper and part of the middle basin of Svrljiški Timok. Muratpasa is a cental district in Antalya, Turkey. With its population of more than 510 thousand, hospitals, schools and other public institutions and organizations, business and shopping centers, historical and tourist points such as Kaleici, Muratpasa is the heart of Antalya. The district has an area of 92 square kilometers. With 20 kilometers of coastline to the Mediterranean sea on its south, Muratpasa is surrounded with Kepez district in the north, Konyaalti district in the west and Aksu district in the east. According to 2019 the official data, Muratpasa has a population of 513 thousand 35, living in 55 neighborhoods. Opština Blace

The area of ??Blace is a smaller municipality of Kopaonik (306 km²), in which there are 40 settlements. (ancient Combos), a spur about 2000 ft. that rises into the hilly plateau to the north. Between Tekirda? and ?arköy is another mountain, Ganos Da??. The main sector switched from agriculture to industry in 70’s. The main industrial facilities are located in Çerkezköy, Çorlu and Tekirda? Being close to Istanbul and having access to major transportation routes playes an important role in the development of the industry. The leading sector in industry is textile followed by leather, food, machine and metal, metal tools, agricultural tools and energy. The temperate climate makes agricultural relatively easy. This is due to the fact that north of Tekirda? is covered with Tekir Mountain formed parallel to the seaside. The section in between Tekirda? Marmara Ere?lisi-Sultanköy are open to northern winds in winter time and therefore lower temperatures could be observed. Inland of Tekirda? shows more terrestrial climate properties. Winters show a similar characteristic of northern Europe countries. The summers are dry and hot. The hot summer seasons last with rainfalls. Winters become dry and extreme cold when Syberian high-pressure area reaches to Tekirda?. The inlands are not affected by the softening affects of Marmara zone. July and August are the hottest months while January and February are the coldest months of the year. Rivers are scarce and insufficient. The main rivers are Hayrabolu Creek and Ergene River. The rainfall and soil condition and quality are ideal for agriculture. Environmental issues Specifically during winter times, air pollution is recorded at city center depending on meteorological conditions. The main reasons for the air pollution is due to burning low efficient fossil fuels for heating and use of inefficient burners. However, an increase in the air quality is also observed due to the use of more clean fuels (such as natural gas) and efficient burners since 1990. Energy production There is a 255,000 m3 Liquid Natural Gas terminal, which belongs to BOTA? (Petroleum Pipeline Corporation) within Tekirda?, Marmara Ere?lisi District. The terminal is connected to the national NG grid system via a 23 km pipeline . Natural gas is consumed significantly in the industry. There are in total 33 electricity power plants with a total installed capacity of 1173 MW. This corresponds to 1.66% of the total installed capacity of the electricity system in Turkey. The consumption rate of Tekirda? compared to Turkey is 3.13%. Approximately, 7,997 GWh electrical energy is generated in Tekirda?. List of Power Plants connected to the electricity system is as follows: The majority of the power plants utilize natural gas. 92.4% of the installed capacity of Tekirda? is based on natural gas while %7.6 is based on renewable energy, which is mostly wind energy . The share of wind energy in Tekirda? is higher than the average of Turkey, which is approximately 2%. Turkish electricity system is interconnected with no isolated or separate grid systems and power plants within the connected electricity system can be dispatched without significant transmission constraints. Although there are power plants within Tekirda?, which produce electrical energy, the generated energy is either imported to the grid or serves as dedicated power plants for specific industrial facility. Therefore, the local emission factor for electrical energy used/consumed by the buildings is identical to the national emission factor. Our mission is to represent members' interests and support their development through joint activities, providing high-quality services in line with EU standards, in order to create the conditions for developed and effective local self-government. In particular, we represent the interests of local authorities in the EU integration process and international cooperation.

Union of Central Anatolian Municipalities Statutes

Central Anatolia Municipalities Union is a public organisation. Republic of Turkey Central Anatolia Municipalities Union is established upon the document of Ministery of Interior Affairs with the date 15.01.1991 and number 15053 and the permission date 25.01.1991 and number 91/1427 of the Council of Ministers. Central Anatolia Municipalities Union service centers’ property is on the Union.

Union of Communities of Armenia

The Union of Communities of Armenia was established in 1997, uniting all 502 rural and urban self-governance bodies of Armenia. The main statutory goals of the Union are to promote the development of local self-governance, protect the interests of member communities, strengthen the capacity of local self-governance bodies, and promote co-operation among member communities. The Union defines its mission as being a unified and representative voice of its members guided by the principles of its members' autonomy, rights protection, collegiality and non-discrimination in Armenia and in the outside world, with strong institutional solidarity and structures. The Union strives to ensure that the local self-government bodies of the RA have a vocal and trustworthy voice in the country's political system, with an aim of influencing the political agenda in collaboration with national authorities for the sake of the Armenian citizens, communities and local democracy. The Union aims at development of local self-government, strengthening local democracy and promoting citizens' participation at the local and regional level. The Union initiates activities for the achievement of these goals both by its own projects and with the cooperation of local and international partners.
