Municipality of Artik

Artik city is located in the north-western part of Armenia, on the foothills of Aragats mountain, an extinct volcano. Artik was an industrial centre with more than 10 industrial companies, whose main activity was based on tuff extraction.

Artik was one of the oldest localities of Armenia. Over the centuries the city developed through art and culture. The city has several monuments: St Stepanos church of Lmbatavank (VII century), St Gevorg church  (VII century) and St Astvatsatsin church (VI century).
