Hungarian National Association of Local Authorities (TÖOSZ)

TÖOSZ was founded on 10 March 1989 with the objectives to support municipal autonomy, for the creation of a local-government friendly social, economic and legal environment with founding members of 152 municipalities. Currently 1600 local governments, more than half of local governments participate in the work of TÖOSZ. TÖOSZ is an integrative local government association, among its members: villages, large villages, towns, district center towns, towns with county rank and capital districts are to be found. Several county local governments also joined our association. We have several capacity-building services for local governments with our wide range national and international Partners.
