Avcilar Municipality

Avcilar is one of the most beautiful districts of Istanbul. It is a historical district established by the sea and lake. It has approximately 450 thousand population. It is a city that respects universal human rights. Many ethnic groups live here. There have been migration from many different groups in the last 50 years. It is a Social Democrat municipality and a Human First. On March 31 2019 local elections, Turan Hançerli Turkey's first mayor handicapped was elected at Avcilar. The previous president is a woman. Avcilar have always supported the disadvantaged groups.
