The town of Veauche has more than 9,000 inhabitants, in the heart of the Forez area and benefits from a strategic location near Saint-Etienne and on the banks of the Loire River. This position has marked its history and contributed to the development of the town that it is today. Located on a very old communication route from Feurs to Saint-Rambert, Velchia, which became Veauche, was only a small village with a few hundred inhabitants in the Middle Ages.
