« Peterborough City Council » takes part in the European Local Democracy Week - a paneuropean event coordinated by the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe - as « Partner city »
Peterborough City Council is a unitary authority in the East of England and a 45 minute train ride from London.
We are planning to hold a question time event involving local councillors and other local public figures with the audience being made up of local secondary school pupils. The pupils will be asking questions to the panel members about the area.
We are also arranging a picture competition for Primary School pupils where they will send in pictures on the theme voting, sharing, participating. The Mayor will choose 10 winners who will have afternoon tea with the Mayor.
