ErasmusDays2022_Sustainable Mobility of Youngsters and Entrepreneurship (Make It Grow Project)

In the frame of the European Local Democracy Week 2022 edition, Edremit Municipality dedicated to the youth participation a special place. In the frame of the celebration of the ErasmusDays event, our municipality organised an online event in order to promote and disseminate the importance of youth engagement in the life of the local community supporting "young entrepreneurship". Two youngsters from the city of Edremit who participated in the Erasmus + project coordinated by Edremit Municipality called "Make it Grow!" and dedicated to sustainable mobility and young entrepreneurship were invited to prepare a short movie to share their project experience. The project, started in 2021, will end in June 2024 and it sees the participation of local authorities and CSOs from Italy, Bosnia, Montenegro, Albania and Türkiye. The project is meant to be a great opportunity for local youngsters to be empowered and gain skills and knowledge about the principle of sustainable entrepreneurship throughout activities of mobility and educational trainings. The project will give the opportunity to several young citizens of Edremit to take part in activities abroad, organise events in Edremit, get in touch with youngsters from different cultures and to feel themselves involved in the youth policies of their local administration. For this reason, with the help of the municipality's staff expert in social media, the youngsters who participated in the first mobility and training activity of the project, collected all the pictures, videos and records taken during their stay in Milano (Italy) editing them in a short video to which they added also a brief reportage with their impressions and suggestions for other local youngsters. The video was shared and disseminated on the social media of the Municipality in order to foster the engagement of more youngsters in the youth policies of our Municipality.
