Kadiköy Climate workshop

Within the scope of the "Kadiköy Municipality Holistic and Participatory Climate Action" project, Kadiköy Municipality aims for a holistic approach that takes into account global and EU level strategies and methods with a participatory perspective that prioritizes the active participation of municipal staff and Kadiköy residents.
For this purpose, climate workshops are organized. "Kadiköy Climate Workshop" was held on November 12, 2022 at the Kadiköy Municipality Ecological Life Center.
It was determined as an ELDW flagship event as it both includes citizen participation and focuses on climate change.
In this workshop, the Kozyata and Suadiye neighborhoods of Kadiköy were studied. Kadiköy citizens participated in this workshop and presented their ideas on identifying the challenges that are/will be experienced in achieving efficiency in buildings, transportation and waste management.
They developed solutions to become resilient against the negative impacts of climate change, focusing especially on young people.
Solution proposals were shared at the tables in groups and then the groups selected the best practice proposals from the other group.
