A dialogue between youth and local politicians

The City of Skopje will promote a dialogue between youth and local politicians, discussing the commitment of young citizens in environmental protection. Elected representatives will visit 5 high schools to discuss environmental issues that concern young people. A dialogue will take place between young people, politicians from the City Council and environmental experts from the Eco-Council/ Green-Council. The five high schools where this activities will take place are as follows: • SUGS Georgi Dimitrov - which has an educational program on forestry and horticultural landscaping. • SUGS Nikola Karev - which implements various local eco-projects and the Erasmus project "Keep calm and be green". • SUGS Josip Broz Tito - which implements the project "Eco-school", as part of the educational program "We do not have a spare planet" designed to raise awareness of students, teachers, technical staff, parents and all others who are directly or indirectly involved in the school community. The school has formed an eco-board that analyzes the state of the environment, develops a plan of activities and eco-code, and environmental protection is related to regular classes. In cooperation with the NGO "Go Green", a school club "Be Green" was established. • SUGS Orce Nikolov - which implements eco-activities designed to raise awareness of students, teachers, technical staff, parents and all others who are directly or indirectly involved in the school community. In cooperation with the non-governmental organization "Go Green", a parking lot for bicycles has been set up in the school's yard as part of the project "Youth on Bicycles", supported by the City of Skopje. • SUGS Shaip Yusuf - which implements various environmental activities and for that purpose has established a school ECO team.
