Banja Luka
From 09/02/2023 to 31/03/2024
Citizens' Assembly on the Topic 'Youth and Entrepreneurship: Supporting Innovations for Sustainable Development" will be implemented by the City through a grant obtained as part of the "Innovating Democratic Participation at the Local Level in Bosnia and Herzegovina" project by the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe, as part of the Council of Europe's Action Plan for Bosnia and Herzegovina for 2022-2025. The project will run from February 2023 to March 2024.
The aim of the project is to enhance local democracy quality and provide citizens opportunities to engage in innovative participatory processes in Banja Luka. It advocates for new democratic approaches, open governance, ethics, and inclusive policy-making. The planned activities promote deliberative democracy on a local level, bolstering the City's capacity, citizen involvement in decision-making, and trust between Banja Luka's citizens and its authorities. The process will be organized as a Citizens' Assembly and will focus on the City's chosen topic: youth and entrepreneurship affirmation.
