Pokrovsk Territorial Community
Pokrovsk territorial community is located in the Western part of Donetsk region. It consists of 41 inhabited localities: 2 cities, 8 big villages and 31 little villages. The total area of the community is 515,5 square km. The population was 82.388 people before the war. Currently, it is reduced to 49.139 local residents and 6195 refugees.
Pokrovsk territorial community is in the Western part of Donetsk region it is a part of the largest agro-industrial communities in the region (approximately 88% of all grounds are agricultural).
The community is rich in coal. However, the potential of the region is far beyond. The territory of the community consists of the most valuable fertile black soils.
The local economy is represented by a powerful industrial complex. The main industries are coal mining, machine-building, steel production, food processing and other industries.
