COVID 19 Support Operative Centre

As soon as the Covid 19 pandemic spread in the country, Edremit Municipality together with the massive sanitization of streets, schools, public buildings, parks and ambulances, established a “Covid 19 Support Operative Centre” with the aim to help and assist the most vulnerable groups of our community. Coordinated by our municipality together with the District Police Department and the District Governorate, the Covid 19 Support Operative Centre was implemented with the employment of our Municipal Police and several volunteer employers in order to assist our citizens above the age of 65 and with chronicle illness during the most difficult days of lockdown. The activity has been completed with the institution of a “call-centre” active 24 hours a day and still in force which collect the requests of help, support, food, medicines and goods coming from the citizens, in particular from those in disadvantage situation.
