« Macadam MixTalent WebWorkshop and Foundation » takes part in the European Local Democracy Week - a paneuropean event coordinated by the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe - as « Partner association »
The project MixTalent will last from October 2012 to January 2013. The students will produce art around this theme and will compile an eBook that will be printed and presented at the Spring-Conference. Our Bridge Art is dedicated to mayors and the aim is to help them to celebrate Europe Day 2013.
A copy of the book will be offered to the President of the Congress at the occasion of the Congress Spring Session in Strasbourg.
Announcement - Webbridge Opening: Mayor Amy Koopmanschap, member of the Congress and active supporter of the project, will open the Bridgeproject by sending an email on Tuesday 17 October afternoon from the Congress In Strasbourg. The students involved in the project will answer with a welcome letter to the new President and the Mayors of Europe.
Congratulations President van Staa, we are looking forward to working with you and the mayors of Europe on behalf of Human and Children's Rights in Europe.
We are sending you here above our Welcome Letter - it is bilingual English-French:
Dear Mayors, at the moment our MixTalent Students are working hard at the Bridge-Project. The pupils aged between 6 and 9 are your artists; the pupils aged between 12 and 15 are your assistants. Attached here is an example of their work in French and in English.
Our MixTalent Children's Rights day is a celebration of a lot of small and meaningful gestures; we hope every child will have someone who will tell a story, sing a song, share a kind moment with him or her. We hope that Mayors are lighting candles for children's rights; small, bright flames for contact, connection and care.
To take part in our webcelebration: please send Greet a photo of your candle in your office: firstname.lastname@example.org. She will compile a webexpo of all your photos as a Newyearsgift to the children.
