Democratic Participation Workshop

As part of the European Union funded “Participation Bridges” project, Konak Municipality organised a Democratic Participation Workshop.
54 participants including academicians, city council members and representatives of civil society organisations attended the democratic participation workshop. Workshop had participants from women, youth, LGBTI+, disabled, Roma, refugee, animal rights and environmentalist organizations. This way, we allowed every section of the society to have a say. The workshop activities included presentations from the academicians, round table meetings and a question and answer session with members of the Konak City Council and directors from various departments of Konak Municipality. After the workshop, an action plan, which summarized the findings of the workshop, has been prepared.
