All-Russian scientific and practical conference "Institutions of Local Democracy in Managing of Sustainable Local Development"

Number of participants: 176. During the plenary session a lot of issues were discussed: ensuring of community involvement in sustainable community development; models of interaction between local communities and local self-government; technologies of strategy and of ensuring community involvement in strategic community development; models of interaction between local communities and local self-government; problems of implementing national projects in municipalities, etc. At the roundtable "Local Democracy - Building Trust", a comprehensive, practical and constructive discussion was held on the issues of involving youth in democratic participation in community life, the development of territorial public self-government, the formation and development of public-private partnerships and cross-sector interaction, the transformation of the local self-government system in the conditions of a digitalized economy and social sphere, and other actual issues for municipalities. At the youth section of the conference, students made presentations devoted to the solution of topical issues of application of local democracy institutions in management of sustainable development of local territories, development of social institutions in the conditions of digitalization of economy and society, development of physical culture, sports and tourism, promotion of healthy lifestyles among young people, etc. At the end of the conference, the participants decided to offer the organizers to make the conference an annual event in the framework of the "European Week of Local Democracy" with the publication of the conference materials.
