We live in excited times: The Corona pandemic in particular has brought and continues to bring forth new half-truths, rumours, falsified and twisted information, conspiracy narratives and misinformation on an almost daily basis. They take up space, are forwarded and spread at breakneck speed - giving the impression of reflecting reality. The author and blogger Ingrid Brodnig, known for numerous publications on the topic of hate on the net, has long been active in defending the internet as a medium of enlightenment. On this evening, she will also show that there are ways for all users of the internet and social media to counter disinformation and false reports and to make real facts understandable.
