Within the scope of the Biodegradable Waste Management Project, implemented for the first time in Istanbul by the Büyükçekmece Municipality and the Environment and Climate Association, the vegetable and fruit wastes in the neighborhood markets are collected and separated at their source. Within the scope of the project, various trainings were given to farmers and environmental associations. After the training, the first application was carried out with the participation of environmental volunteers, scout club and citizens.The resulting compost manure is distributed to farmers as a soil conditioner.
