Women empowerment in local governments

Büyükçekmece Municipality provided trainings on "Gender Equality", "Women Friendly Cities" and "History of Rights" to its female personnel and Roma women, one of the disadvantaged groups in the district. The main objective of the project is to pave the way for equal representation of women in the district administration, to encourage them to become candidates and to raise awareness.
