Signature of the European Urban Charter III

Büyükçekmece Mayor Dr Hasan Akgün attended the 45th Session of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe as a member of the Turkish National Delegation. In line with the recent changes in the world and especially after the global pandemic outbreak, a revision process was experienced and it was decided to open the European Urban Charter III for signature at the 45th Congress session. Following the opening of the European Urban Charter III for signature, our Municipality will be the first municipality in Türkiye to sign the Charter with the decision taken by the Büyükçekmece Municipal Council.
