Citizens' and municipalities' mobilization after the earthquakes

The magnitude 7.7 and 7.6 earthquakes that struck 10 different cities including Kahramanmaraş, the epicentre of the earthquake, have caused a great disaster in Türkiye. Since the very first day of the earthquake, Beşiktaş Municipality has united with its neighbours, and managed to send 65 semi-trucks to the disaster area under the coordination of Beşiktaş District Governorate and AFAD. Beşiktaş Mayor Rıza Akpolat thanked all the neighbours in the district for their devotion. Indeed, since the beginning, they have rushed into the aid collection centres to send necessary products to the earthquake victims. The Beşiktaş residents prepared boxes containing the items in the requirement list, and provided support for categorization and packaging of the aids collected.
