Debates with the Mayor

In 2019, the Municipality of Ramnicu Valcea organized a debate regarding the local budget and five district meetings with the citizens of the city (in all the major districts of the city), during which the townspeople spoke with the Mayor Râmnic and the representatives of the local authority about the most important issues they are facing, and agreed about various investment projects. Every year, according to the Romanian Law, the Mayor has to draft and publish a Report regarding the economic and environmental development of the city. In our city, this Report is printed and made available to all residents, free of charge. The motivation is that, after acknowledgment, citizens who want to attend the district meetings with the Mayor (which our Municipality periodically organized in each district of the city) can see the achievements and can discuss with the hall management the following major projects for the local community. In addition to the weekly audiences offered by the local management, the residents of Ramnicu Valcea have, starting from 2019, an online platform (Gutau.ro), a new way of interacting with the Mayor, where they can ask relations and guidance on public services in the city and signal failures in management.
