Interactive Educational Event "UChange: Community"

On October 12, 2023, the Department of Urban Agglomeration of the Lviv City Council, with the support of the Council of Europe project "Strengthening the resilience of democratic processes through civic participation in times of war and post-war period", in collaboration with the NGO "Forum for Civil Society Development", organized the interactive event UChange: Community. Approximately 40 participants in this interactive educational event had the opportunity to experience the roles of the city mayor, deputy, council member, and community activists. Each participant gained practical skills in the principles of civic participation, enabling them to actively contribute to addressing real issues in the city. Together, participants simulated and addressed current problems in the populated areas of the Lviv community, and they also practiced writing appeals to the authorities. The event was largely attended by active youth and students, indicating the youth's desire to develop, learn, and actively engage in city governance processes.
