"Local Community Offices: putting democratic resilience at the forefront" - Open Door Days at Community Office in Ryasne-Ruske

Lviv City Territorial Community
From 15/10/2023 to 15/10/2023
In 2020, Lviv united around itself 20 populated areas, villages, and towns, thus becoming the Lviv City Territorial Community. To ensure communication between the Lviv City Council and the annexed populated areas, community offices were established - representations of the Lviv City Council in localities. As part of the events, "Open Door Days" were held for students of local schools under the theme "Local Community Offices: putting democratic resilience at the forefront". Students had the opportunity to visit the offices and interact with their employees. Children were introduced to the powers of the Lviv City Council, learned about the specifics of the Community Offices' work, familiarized themselves with document flow, and, most importantly, discussed ways of collaboration between the Lviv City Council and communities through the use of participatory cooperation methods. These meetings covered the following populated areas of the Lviv community: Vinnyky, Bryukhovychi, Rudne, Ryasne-Ruske, Lysynychi, Malekhiv, Velyki Hrybovychi, Zashkiv, Zarudtsi, and Dublyany. In total, over 200 students from local schools participated in the event. All events took place simultaneously on October 15, 2023, emphasizing once again the unity and shared commitment to the development of democratic values in the Lviv community.
