Schools for Better Air Quality
The city of Užice and Loznica, and the municipality of Priboj (Serbia)

In the scope of ELDW 2023, Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities (SCTM), National Association of Local Authorities of Serbia, conducted a series of capacity building activities for 15 LGs within the project “Schools for Better Air Quality” and provided support to 3 LGs (Užice, Priboj, Loznica) for drafting/reviewing their respective environmental policy documents, including support for the involvement of young people and support for budgeting the measures related to the air quality protection. The aim of the intervention was to increase awareness about the air quality and to promote suitable mechanisms for citizens participation in the process of adoption of local environmental policies in order to combat air pollution and build climate resilience.
