Commune of Jette

« Commune of Jette » takes part in the European Local Democracy Week - a paneuropean event coordinated by the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe - as « Partner city »

Jette is one of the 19 communes of the bilingual (French, Dutch) Brussels-Capital Region. Located 5 km from the centre of Brussels, Jette is a former village that has been overtaken by the city. It now has almost 52,000 inhabitants, spread over 3 km2. Jette is home to many families and citizens from a variety of cultures. It boasts cultural infrastructures (cultural centres, libraries) and Natura 2000 natural areas, renowned for their rich biodiversity.
